Boyd was very good but lost key personnel to his bad management. He was a master of classic muscle cars but I think Foose is more versatile. Neither did anything I'd want to own but I admired their skills.
I'll believe corporations are persons when Texas executes one.: LBJ's Ghost
you guys do know that Foose got his start at HotRods By Boyd right.
Foose is more of an artist Boyd was more of an old school beat on it till it looks GREAT guy.
Most of them are trailer queens anyways.
Boyd should have stuck to cars and wheels. When he did the TV show he lost a lot of good people. Like when he fired the painter for wanting to go work for Foose. All the Painter wanted was a few months of time to go work on a Riddler car. The Riddler award is the most sought after award in the hot rod world. Then the young kid with the facial problems (From a crash with one of Boyds cars) left to go with the painter and Foose. That kid was an amazing machinist. Then he Boyd gave Blue Bear kid a car to build. Boyd said he HAD to Box the frame as to leave it unboxed was unsafe. He ended up quiting or getting fired over boxing a frame.
Foose is I'm sure a demanding boss but it is amazing that he and his team can build sweet rides in 7 days and no one goes crazy yelling and screaming.
Boyd is a guy who really put hot rodding on the map.
I'm not Sheldon! I'm the Flash! And now I'm going to the Grand Canyon to scream in frustration *takes two quick steps* I'm back
