wobbly wheels

I know this is kind of a dumb question, but what has happened/will happen to a vehicle that has a wheel wobbling? I see a car or truck periodically where one of the wheels is not rolling straight.

Sound like a worn bearing or hub, and what will happen is that eventually the wheel will fall of.

Could be catastrophic depending on where it happens and the speed at which it happens.

On the other hand, it could just be an unbalanced wheel, which is not great either but not as potentially dangerous.

Why do you ask?

X2 it could also be the tread on the tire making it appear to wobble or a bent wheel.

it's not me!

It's not my car! Don't worry!
I just see it every now on other vehicles as I am driving. It concerns me if the other driver's wheel is loose, because that could affect me and everyone else.

Besides the worn bearing or hub it could be loose lugnuts, and yes, it could fall off or collapse and cause a wreck. You are wise to avoid such vehicles on the road, especially on the highway.
