I didn't know it is illegal to home brew beer in Alabama. That's crazy! We just moved back to Alabama from Tennessee and we used to brew a few batches a year.

Alabrew is a great place. The owners are helpful, and they have just what you need. Support your local HBS.

Agreed. They recently moved to Pelham not far from my house and I really appreciate the convenience. They will prepare orders by mail for you so all you have to do is pick them up.

It's right off I-65 at AL 119. Take a left at the light at the McDonald's, they are in the brick building a block down the road.

A friend of mine had a unique homebrew, he worked it then bottled it in heavy glass bottles with a teaspoon of honey added to each just before capping. The brew became as fizzy as champagne.

I have a home carbonation system (info on instructables.com) that could be used to put fizz into homebrew. Some have used them to make "cold duck" from "two-buck chuck".
