How is the central valley defined though? It's huge if you count from Bakersfield all the way up past Chico.

I think it should be broken up in to sub-categories

The Delta west of Stockton and Lodi has almost unlimited waterways to explore. Also, some of the Lodi wineries are now considered world class.

Central Valley would be good enough. Yes, it covers a lot of area, but as it stands now there is nothing that covers us. Sacramento would be the closest possibility for us and really has nothing to do with us living out in the rural areas around Bakersfield.

Kern County would be a good post name.

I think Fresburg has been considered central valley mostly b/c it's purdy much smack in the middle of the state. But yes, it is mostly broken up into sub catagories. Bakersfield being the most extreme southern part, Modesto being the max northern part. That's just my own opinion b/c it takes about 1 1/2 hrs to go either way. I've always thought of Sac. town being the Sacramento valley kinda by itself??? Redding being nor-cal valley area.
But from a geographical aspect... it's all one big long valley, right>?
