Places to Fish in So Cal?

Let's make a thread of places to go fishing in So Cal and what kind of fish they have.

I'll start, Big Bear lake has some great trout fishing along with catfish and Bass. You can rent boats or just shore fish it's up to you.

Corona Lake

Corona Lake has trout, catfish and talapia among many others. They stock their lake regularly. I have always cought a number of fish there. The best part is, it is a pay lake, so no fishing license required. Also, they have deals where you can stay over and camp and fish. It's a really neat place and we have caught many large trout there.

Actually, the state line between California and Lake Havasu falls directly in the middle of the lake. Just stay west of the painted line on the lake!

If you wanna do some trout river fishing there's Deep Creek up near Arrowhead, there's also the San Gabriel River (there are trout here, but they are just really small -- but if you just catch and release its all good)

My brother just caught a 20lbs striper in Needles, on the Colorado River, just North of Lake Havasu....he also helped catch an aligator that got lose from a circus...no joke, it was like a bad B movie, except the gator was only about 2 feet long.

When I was a kid we used to fish in the Sierra Nevada's, (i can't remember the names of the lakes) above Bishop and in the Owen's River; that was great trout fishing and was also a really beautiful area.
