I personally know a few good LEO's, but I have also run into some really really bad ones.

It's pretty well the same in most sectors of life, and I try to make it a point not to let a few rotten potatoes to spoil the whole bag for me.

Same here but I'll call a cop, queen or Mother Theresa on it if they screw up just like anyone else.

I agree completely with this.

The first time they abuse that power, or assume someone is guilty before its proven, they lie, cheat, steal, beat someone up for no good reason, etc. they are fired without pay immediately.
Then they would clean up their act, or soon be gone, leaving the good people on the job.

Let's toss in politicians too. If you're in any position of public trust and you violate said trust you're outta there the next day and never to be rehired or elected.
