I'm a Leafs fan, unfortunatlly, but I'm over it. At least were doing better then Edmonton!

What do you guys think of the new proposed All-Star game?
I think Shanny has brought up some interesting ideas... I like the pond hockey approach they are taking with having a lineup, and having captains choose the team before the game starts, however, I would like to see them take it one step further and have them draw sticks from the faceoff circle like we did out on the lake. They could bring in a celebrity to draw sticks, and let the rosters fall where they may.
I'm not really a fan of the all star game. It can be a little boring since they aren't really playing hockey which we are used to watching. I think they should bring back the laser puck, LOL.
Anyways, the Canucks dominate and I hope we have a all Canadian finals.
I've been a fairly passive fan for the last few years, but now that my work/school/life balance is starting to get back into a reasonable routine, I try to watch Hockey Night in Canada.
My teams are the Oilers and the Leafs, so I'm pretty much resigned to watching pretty weak hockey these days, but the Oil sure have some moments of excitement.
The one thing that does get me a little sad is the realization that my son will never know the true HNIC theme song.
I suffered as a Leafs fan for 30 years...they last won the Cup when I was 5 years old...now it's the Canucks and they're looking pretty dangerous this year...if only they can stay healthy! (Bettman sucks!)
