Canadian Roadside Motels

We've stayed in a few motels between Montreal and the east coast. My favorite was a sweet old dump in Fredericton. It had a nice pool with a tiki bar, a restaurant, and a lounge that stayed open way too late. Fast food joints were across the street. It wasn't great, but after driving for nine hours, it was perfect!

Another good place was the Panorama Motel in Woodstock, NB. I don't even know if it still exists and it was always a little dumpy, but we nevertheless always enjoyed our stay there for some unknown reason.

Its not fancy, but the little lakeshore motel in Lac le hache BC is cool, as its clean, and right on the shore of a beautiful lake.

That looks like a pretty decent place to spend a night or two.

Nothing fancy but clean, friendly and in a nice location.

Yes to all of that, and just a short walk to 4 good places to eat, and a convenience store/gas station.
The lake is great to swim in, fish in, jetski on etc as well.

Well let's see, roadside motels and hotels. I have stayed in some pretty good ones over the years of traveling and also some pretty poor ones. There are a couple that come to minds as interesting on the poor side. There was one in Cadillac Saskatchewan, it was a quick stop and the room was about the size of a closet, but the cost was like 30.00 bucks for the night and I was tired.
When I woke in the morning the was more frost on the inside of the windows than an old refrigerator freezer.
Another one was in Estevan Saskatchewan, that one was better and had a big old oil burner for heat in the room. Mind you the fellow I was with was pretty cheap and he would heat ip soup and stuff on it.
Now when I travel I tend to stay at places that offer a good breakfast and that has good access to the sites that I'm there to visit. Unless I am camping of course.

If its against the rules to talk about it, then by all means please delete my posts.
I thought we were supposed to suggest places.
I have just stayed there probably 15 nights over the last 20 years, and like it a lot.

Okay, i thought maybe you were kidding, but don't want to appear as a spammer of motels.
I suck at remembering names, but will look up the good spots we stayed on a trip 2 summers ago.
We had some great places and a few horrible ones on that trip in BC.
One place literally lied to us and scammed us out of our money.
So of course i will not be recommending them....lol
