Coldest I've seen was -54C (with windchill) at Tremblant a few years ago. I've also skied at -49C at Camp Fortune but those were some of the rare cases I remember seing temperatures drop below -40.
I'd have to agree with Plamondonbrews. I remember skiing at Fortune one day and getting frostbite on my forehead! There was a crask of exposed flesh between my goggles and toque. Looked like a 3rd eyeball!!

I love that you just said "toque". I get made fun of all the time here in Virginia for using that word. Makes Americans look at me cross-eyed. Nice to see a forum with fellow Canadians on it
It's not the coldest either my mom or I have seen the mercury drop to, but my mom who lives in the Arctic with her mom, just posted this on facebook:
Posted 2:45 AM - I just woke up and it seemed cold. I checked the temp. It is -27C or -17 F, with the windshield it is -33C or -27F. I thought I better go and plug in the block heater on the car so that it will start in the morning. I just got back in and it was cold outside!! Sunrise is now 10:28 AM sunset is 3:55 PM. This is posted for my friends in the south : )
