I have no idea why today is Canada's National Holiday, but just wanted to wish everyone a safe day off, if you are so lucky that you receive a day off!

On July 1, 1867, the British North America Act was enacted, which basically united three British colonies into what is today Canada.

Thanks, like Alex said it is to celebrate the joining of the 3 colonies. today it's call the Constitution Act, 1867. But unlike Alex I have to work today, but I get overtime though. I will be off on Independence Day though.
