Labrador City is actually a town of about 10,000 people. The people who named the town must have had great ambitions...!

We are a mining town, on the Quebec border. The Iron Ore Company of Canada is the main mining company operating here, but there are several more mines surrounding the area, in various states of operations.

The Quality of life for the residents here, based on income and cost of living, is among the highest in North America. There is huge demand for employees in all sectors.
