Great steak houses for tourists?

Please help us 101 travelers out by advising where the great steak houses are located. I'll tell you three of my favorites:

Jocko's in Nipomo......Best spencer steak ever tasted but cheesy atmosphere.
Mclintocks in Pismo Beach and SLO...Great atmosphere and food.
A.J. Spurs in Buellton....Great atmosphere and food.

Please help by adding your favorites!

Cool hand Luke's in Santa Maria is good. Way too much food, great taste, service is good. Atmosphere is old west. And there's Firestone DBA on draft.

My only complaint is that it's 'Too Corporate.' It is a homogenized experience that makes me feel like the beef that I'm eating.

Then again I prefer to bbq my own beef now, or stop by a parking lot fundraiser for a more home cooked (but not steakhouse) feel.

Not often. Only for business dinners. It's kinda campy. Very loud when there's a crowd. Some folks like that. Not me.

Hitching Post in Casmalia has a nice ambiance, and you can see your meal getting cooked. But it's a several miles off 101.

We have had good luck at Tanner Jacks on Nipomo Mesa.
A little way off the 101 but tasty!

There is also a Cool Hand Lukes in Paso Robles, right off the highway. Never been there though. There is an AJ Spurs in Arroyo Grande just off the highway, standard AJ's. In SLO there is a Tahoe Joe's off of Madonna road, decent food with a chain restaurant feel.

I had forgotten about Tanner Jacks. Good place on Nipomo Mesa.

Has anyone tried the Oak Pit? It's a new BBQ place near Tanner Jacks.

You have to try Bernicks in Paso Robles!!! It is a little pricey but if your looking for a great steak it is the best! It is a small little place on 13th st but great atmosphere and great food, don't forget to try the Shrimp Sliders for an App. they are the real reason I keep going back.

Atascadero

I recommend the Guest House Grill in Atascadero. It's just north of the Curbaril exit off of 101, located in the Spencer Shopping Center. The restaurant is fairly new, and they have a really good ribeye. I took my son there for his birthday in September. My family and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and our meals.
