Food and Wine Festival

My girlfriend went to the food and wine festival in Charleston last year and loved it. She's been bugging me to take her this year since thanksgiving. Is it really worth comming all the way from Texas to go to? I do like food and wine, but that seems like a long way to go unless it's extra cool.

I live in charleston and have never been. It seems to me that a lot of events in charleston are over rated.. I personally wouldn't drive that far.
