Golfing In Charlotte

I am still a beginner golfer and would like to go golfing. Are there any inexpensive golf courses in the Charlotte area. They don't have to be the nicest, b/c I am still rusty. In addition are there any cheap driving ranges around. I live on the eastern side of the city, but willing to drive if the price is right.

I don't play much in the Charlotte area. I have found some great publie courses for the money. These are not in any order

Foxwood, Salisbury, NC $20 They have been improving every year lately.
Twin Cedars, Mocksville, NC $22 fun course nice greens
Puddin Ridge, Farmington, NC, $25 My all time favorite for less than $30 if this course
were in Charlotte it would cost $75 to play. Burmuda
fairways, bent grass slick greens, white sand bunkers.
Twin Oaks, Statesville, NC $20 fun course

Maybe someone else knows of affordable desent courses in the area
