WHERE in Chicago??? It's hard to go wrong in Chinatown, Koreatown, or Little Viet Nam, there's a number of good Thai places on N. Western, from Irving Pk. up to Wilson....
There's a little hole in the wall pizza place on Roberts Road out in Palos that is unbelievable. Probably the best pizza I have ever had. Place is so small that they don't take CCs.
I definitely agree with the Cozy Noodles suggestion. Great Thai food. You should go there if you can, its right by wrigley field and its decorated with a bunch of toys all over the walls. The bathroom is pretty creepy.
If you want good old fashion Americanized Chinese food go with Peking. They have really good General Tso's Chicken. They deliver and you get a lot for the money.
Downtown, Oodles of Noodles had some good, fast asian. they are under new management now, and my verdict is still out...I hope they don't change the recipes too much.
Butterfly on Grand and also on Chicago are good. Zen noodle is great, fast delivery of thai and japanese. Friendship in Logan Square is great higher end chinese food. And, yup, as somebody said above, it's hard to beat Chinatown.
