The Esquire Theater has begun a repertory showing of old movies in one of its six theaters. The lineup and dates are too numerous to list, but some of the movies are The Graduate, Chinatown, Face/Off and even The Neverending Story.
Here is a link to the theater if you want to see what's playing. http://www.esquiretheatre.com/
Lawrence of Arabia (1962) will be showing at Cinemark Florence, Milford, Oakley and Western Hills on Sunday and Wednesday, Sept. 1 and 4.
I saw Lawrence when it was re-released in the 1990s. All of us enjoyed the desert scenes way more than the office and inside scenes. I also noticed that there are almost no women in this movie!
The Shawshank Redemption (1994) will be shown at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, and at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Cinemark Milford, Oakley and Western Hills.
