I agree on Phantom Canyon Brewing Company for the best pub fare. The beer bread...

Yummy!

The Ai Sushi at Centennial & Garden of the Gods is superior to any other Sushi restaurant in the Springs, in my opinion. And I know for a fact they are one of only two restaurants in the region that receives Grade A fish bi-daily...that says a lot. (Sushi Den in Denver is the other...).

Pretty much. The AF chow hall on Pete just reopened after a major remodel that costs somewhere near 750k. Went in expecting angels to open the new doors with frosted glass and chefs to serve me my 1 meat option only on golden plates.

Same doors, same line with same roller counters. Only thing I saw different was new carpet. This DFAC was shut down for 6 months for renovations and nothing changed. I take that back, something did change. Prices went up significantly. $6 for burger, fries and 3 small drinks. I'd rather go back to Smashburger!!!

More than Chains

Why? With so many options, why recommend chains? Free yourself and enjoy Colorado Springs!!!! There is more to COS then the West Side -

Burger - Drifters
Mexican - El Taco Rey, unless you drive north to Castle Rock - Santiago's
'DDD' - King Chef's
Cool - Trinity
Cooler - Colorado Mountain Brewery
Gyro - Mediterranean Cafe
Philly - Taste of Philly
Italian - Rocco's
Pizza - Leon Gessi's
Coffee - Pikes Perk

Oscars on Tejon St. Great food and cold beer. Boiled crawfish during Mardi Gras, too.
