I haven't done many of the mountain trails, but for hard-core rock crawling, Hunter Canyon/21 Road here in GJ is hard to beat. But it takes a pretty capable rig and someone who isn't terribly fond of their sheetmetal.

Redcone is pretty impressive, if it's still open. There was some talk of closing it because of the people who can't stay on the trail in the open area above timberline.

Carnage Canyon in Boulder was one, since it was so close, Im still pissed its closed, lol

Twin Cone is fun:


Wheeler Lake is nice:



Pretty much any trail in the Buena Vista area is always a blast, BUT what Ive learned, its not the trail thats fun, its the company you keep...

Red Cone is still open, well its closed due to weather Im sure, but no perm. closure

Nice Runner. Im working on my 02 SR5, just got a garvin roof rack, and getting some nitto terra grapplers this week

I did Black Bear and Ophir on September 11th of this year...Black Bear was very intimidating, Ophir was a easy trip back!

5 years, wheeling every weekend, I still have yet to hit Black Bear/Ophir, it is on ny list..

The drive from Lake City over Cinnamon Pass to Yankee Boy Basin is scenic, though not too difficult.
