Rent a Jeep and just drive on every road that is not paved. It is a beautiful state that we vacation in every other year

spent a good week in denver with family. This city is big. Air was dry and fresh. Camped in the mountains during sept and it was great. Very cold at night though.

In order to drive on every road that is not paved, you had better buy a Jeep instead of renting one! I have crawled all over those mountains since I can remember, and I STILL have not wheeled all of it!

I didn't mean him. I was speaking to anyone who did not have a Jeep.

Jeep trails

If you do come up with a jeep and soon. Independence pass by Vail and South Park will be closing soon but is amazingly gorgeous! It is seasonal so otherwise will wait till summer thaw( not spring) It's also fun trying to find all the hidden ghost towns around the state!

This.

If someone were coming to CO for the only visit of their life, I'd schedule it during FDGD.

The rest of the stuff you can do here is great: skiing, hunting, climbing, hiking, raft/kayaking, Jeeping, great motorcycle state too... but those can also be done lots of other places.

FDGD only happens in Colorado.

You really need a reason?? Once you visit you'll know why that's just silly! Colorado = Heaven... lived here my whole life and continue to because it's just that great!! Of course if you visit you'll want to live here and there are always too many transplants as it is! But we always love tourists... money that is...
