Was wondering about how others in the state feel about Pueblo and why? I am originaly from Kansas, moved here about 5 years ago, and have heard nothing but disrepect from everyone eles in the state. My personal experiance has been good. I find that Pueblo is kind of a hiden unknown treasure. A lot of nice places to eat, the cost of living is a lot less than our neabors to the north, or for that matter to the west. So here it is. Why so down on P town?
Live in Grand Junction now, but I was born and raised in Pueblo.
The bad rep. comes from a long time ago, cus of the Steel mill.
Most of the people bad mouthing have never even been there,
just driven by on hwy 25. Nice place to live, but a little job poor now.
Great access to the mountains, better than any other front range town.
just head up to West Cliff and you will see what I mean.
Let people rant. what they don't know is better for you.
Pueblo is very poor just now, job-wise. It's still a nice town... very small-town and family-oriented... with all the pluses and minuses that go with it.
I work down in Pueblo from time to time, it's a nice town. Would like to have a place in Pueblo west, just down the road from the reservoir, used to love it when I lived just minutes from Chatfield. After work, we load up the grill and Jet Ski and go ridding, no traffic, not idiots, not like the weekends.
The bad rep is undeserved but kinda long lasting from way back - I figure only people from Pueblo can say anything bad, no one else has the right to! Kinda like only cat people can tell cat jokes...
