I've been to the Tar Hollow area to go 4 wheeling many times. It's pretty nice but you'll find a lot better trails in the southern part of the state and the eastern part too. There are places to go in Wayne National that are just great but telling you how to find them would nearly be impossible. If you have an iPhone or anything similar there are programs for them that list local trails and give you exact instructions on how to get there and if you have the right kind of phone they'll show you how to get there with GPS. You'll find trails you never dream of with those programs.

There arent alot of unimproved roads but there are some.

in April ohio4x4 host novice rides on some of these roads near tar hollow state park. I would suggest logging onto thier website and attending that ride.

The tar hollow area trails are about the only unimproved roads id take a stock vehicle on.

Ohio locks all of its forrest service roads up.
I'm also in Ohio4x4. It's a great group of guys and I strongly encourage everyone to check it out. Don;t just get on the site and ask "Where do you wheel?" because we won't tell you online, that's how drunk hillbillies come across the trails and ruin the sport. But hey, come on a ride with us, it;s more fun with a group, anyway!
