Best Beer Selection in Cbus

I figure this thread would get started eventually. I have been going to Bob's Bar for years. (The Cultural Hub of the Midwest.) They have a great tap selection and lots of bottles. They are also getting a firkin soon.

I frequent bodega the most. They always have a great tap list and all drafts are half off monday-friday 4-8.

As far as carry outs go, I like Gentiles and (believe it or not) Giant Eagle.

I just moved to the area and I went to Barley's brewpub. I liked their stuff. Are there other brewpubs in the area that are recommended?

I have been a fan of lounge 62 in gahanna. It is off of 62 or johnston rd, and i walked in one day expecting a bad bar and restuarant but it just went under new management. It has been suprisingly good and they have continued with the 62 beer on tap theme. I would argue its not 62 but its every bit of 50 good beers on tap!

Other good places to buy beer
1.Pace High - corner of Pace and High Streets
2.Kenny Road Market - they have a huge selection of bottled beer
3.Winking Lizard - Good tap selection and a round the world beer tour
4.Elevator Bar and Brewery - they have some good stuff on tap
5.Columbus Brewing Company - aka CBC - been making good brews in Columbus for awhile
6. Bodega - half price tap selection for happy hour - one of the better deals in town
I find Barley's to be an expensive place to go get a drink. I think a pint of Pale Ale was $5.50 last time I was there. They are right across the street from the convention center so they are able to charge more for there brews.

+1 to giant eagle. The one in Dublin off Avery rd has a great selection inside a beer cave in the center of the store.

If you want a quick carryout type place, check out Andy's Carryout on High St, near the Giant Eagle in Clintonville.

Another decent one is Viking Premium Beverage on King Ave near Neil Ave, but their prices tend to run just a little high.

They sell single bottles at both places.

Oh, I also forgot, the new Market District Giant Eagle in Upper Arlington has a great selection of both beer & wine.
