Columbus area Employment

What has been your experience concerning employment in the area. Do you feel it is improving. Where are the most likely employers located.

Columbus is definitely good for jobs...

Several major corporations based here:

Big Lots
Express
The Limited
Abercrombie and Fitch
Ross Labs/Abbott Nutrition
Battell
Nationwide
Ohio Health
Nationwide Children's Hospital

Target employs a lot of people in columbus (my wife is a store manager) and I highly suggest considering them if you're a recent college grad/have a degree - their pay is second to none, their benefits are extraordinary.

Lots of dealerships in columbus, plenty of bars/restaurants for part-time work, and I guess I forgot to mention...

The Ohio State University - huge employer in Columbus

Right now the State of Ohio is hiring like mad. All agencies are going to be in a hiring freeze for atleast 6 to 12 months after the new governor takes office. So they are hiring every position they think they may need for the next year.
