Wesport pizzaria. Is it still there? It was great when I lived there about 20 years ago...owned by two Italians.

I have tried them all but my vote is Bohemion Pizza in Litchfield. A real dump on the outside and very rustic inside but my oh my the pizza is to die for. Lots of New Yorkers are sneeking in and on the weekends you will have to waite for a table. Try and get a table next to the fire place where it is nice and warm and cozy.

ok so new haven pizza is clearly the best. it's a unique style! I don't remember exactly but it's history is somehow affiliated with new york pizza. pepe's is great, but it's loosing it's edge. Sally's is great but my favorite in BAR pizza on crown st. they have great toppings and great flavor... go for the white pizza with mashed potatoes and bacon. you think it sounds crazy till you've had it.

Outside of New Haven, Billy Tee's in Cromwell has very good brick oven pizzas.
