Connecticut Buffalo Wing recommendations

Side Street Grille
15 Dickerman Street, Hamden, CT 06518
(203) 407-1539

The great wings and large portions helped me through the days of limited funds during college... and the catering options are awesome!

Porky's bar in Shelton Ct. held the best wings for quite a few years in the Wing Ding comp. many years before they stopped entering. Its the only place I get wings. Ive also had many others and can say Archie Moores and TK's are tied in second place.

J. Timothy's in Plainville has great wings (try the dirt style) and Sliders consistently wins the best wings in the state.

The Bidwell Tavern in Coventry has a wide selection of wings, dry rubs to different BBQ sauces to Cajun to varying degrees of heat with the Buffalo sauces. There have been some stretches through the past couple decades when the kitchen was hit or miss depending on the cook du jour, but overall a very good spot. When they are on, the wings are crispy and soak in the sauce. It's a cool, rustic atmosphere as well. It does get busy and service can be on the slower side, although not painstakingly, but there are a number of good beers on tap to pass the time.

Yeah

I would have to say the Bidwell as well, many Uconn folks there also.
Another is the Crackerbarrel reasturant, not a part of the chain, in Tarrifville Ct Just North on 189, outside of Bloomfield and east of Simsbury CT.
