Old Newgate Prison is a fun place to visit. Litchfield hills in the fall is just about the prettiest thing you could see.

Thimble Islands cruise out of Branford. Wild houses built on granite rocks. From gazebos to former presidential vacation homes. Foliage tours in the fall are amazing. Covered bridges in the Northwest corner. Great casinos too!

Three are of the houses on the Thimble Islands in Stoney Creek on the Long Island Sound. The covered Bridge is in Cornwall in the northwest corner, which is THE place to go to see the fall foliage.

You can get to Boston, Cape Cod or NYC in a matter of hours. Not to mention that you can get to any spot in the state in about an hour.

Now that looks like a nice place! I just like waterfalls no matter how big or small.
