4.3 tbi to carb - Dallas, Texas

Hey guys is there an adaptor to go from tbi to carb on the gm 4.3?

Yes, but it takes an entire intake to do it, not just an adapter. It is an easy job if you already did a swap. Its your lucky day, look up item 290483775209 on ebay, it is only 95 bucks.

I bet you can sell the TBI and harness! Many off-roaders want those parts due to angle-running.

There are a few engines that can handle the TBI: 4.2 liter AMC is but one.

Why would you want to go to a carb? Fuel Injection is better IMO

Shhhh! Don't blow my chances of going TBI on my 4.2 I-6! I can machine the adapter if not able to find one!!!!

I don't really want to go to carb, I am just considering the options that I may have. I will swap the cpi, intake, ecm, wiring harness for a tbi, intake, ecm, wiring harness, or I will sell the cpi set up. I cannot get the thing to work and I don't know why. Possibly because it is an obd2 computer system. But i defintely need to do something, this is taking way to long, and I am beginning to lose interest. Thanks for your input. Also, I have a 2.5 that was rebuilt about a year ago and has 25k miles on it, complete engine with the computer, for sale or trade, it came out of the 97 wrangler.
