Dallas Real Estate Market
What has happened to house prices esp. appraised prices since the economy downturn, has Dallas got hit hard?

The way of the world right now. Appraised values go down and the assessed values go up. As long as your local gets their taxes...

Not as bad as most of the rest of the country, especially California, Miami area and Vegas. We didn't have the huge run-up in prices and housing here has always been a good value.

While the housing market didn't have the run up of other areas, IMHO the foreclosures have really weakened the market. Specifically in Collin Co.
