Franconia Brewery

For anyone that has not heard of this local brewery (based in McKinney), or maybe have tried a beer or two of theirs but do not know much about them, definitely check into their tours (Saturdays at 11am).

Franconia Brewing: Want to Take a Tour?

It is $5, which gets you about a 20-30 minute tour of the facility by Dennis Wehrmann (owner/brewmaster) and samples of his brews both during and after the tour.

I haven't heard of them before, but that isn't too far away (if I can drag myself out of bed before noon on a weekend). It's pretty cool that the owner/brew master actually gives the tours. Is there a certain kind of beer they are known for?

I've been meaning to make it out for a tour forever. Might have to make that happen before the year is up.

I love Franconia's Hefe. Franziskaner is my favorite, followed by Franconia

I went there when they had the Kolsh on draft for the tour and was hooked on it.

That tour may be a fun tour activity do one Saturday during the holidays, I wonder if they will be giving tours all through December.

Yeah, this has been my favorite beer by them.
