Not being flippant, but at some point if you require access to good beer you may want to consider homebrewing. I haven't bought commercial beer in a very long while, and get to drink exactly what I want.

Currently drinking an English bitter.

I homebrew, currently have 8 gallons each of an American IPA, a Doppelbock, and a session stout. I still like to buy commercial beer to try and widen my pallet and to get inspirations.

Central Market gets my vote. Great selection, and much better than liquor store prices from what I have seen. Only thing I don't like is the crowds and waiting to check out. It's not just a quick drop in and get out.

Check Majestic Liquor stores as well.

S&K if in Plano

Hit me up if you're in Denton as there are a few honey holes here.

Metzler's in Denton. Central Market and (most) Whole Foods. Kegs and Barrels.
It seems that Dallas proper has no "good" spots for beer lovers (retail). I wish there was a "whip in" like in Austin.

I second the Homebrew...

Judging by the screen name this guy doesn't like Oskar Blues does he?

That is the best list I could think of. Rick at Lonestar/Sams is an awesome guy and a beer geek himself. If he doesn't have it, ask if he can order it.

My mom lives in Hickory Creek and when you exit for her house you can drive past at least 5 beer/liquor stores. East side of I-35E.
