Activities for Children, must be free

I'm in town visiting relatives for the Holidays, is there any where to take my kids, 8 and 5, boy and girl, that's free?

I know there's got to be something, my Aunt says there's not, but there has to be.

Take the kids to the Brandywine Zoo. If it is not freezing. Tons of nice State Parks in DE no entry fee this time of year.

Stay away from the mall....traffic is terrible. The parks are good idea but dress warm. The White Clay Creek State Park has a lot of paths but nothing more than eyeing nature.
Another outside place is the Carousel Park Equestrian Center. They have horses that you can walk through the stables. Its free but dress for the cold.

The Natural History Museum is a good place to spend the day but its not free $5/6.
