I know it's not the cheapest at $79 a day, but I love Copper mtn. If you're a student, the Winter Park/ Copper season pass package from Wells Fargo is the best deal.

Wolf Creek or Monarch are both small mountains that ski like big mountains

Sunlight is pretty good if you know the secret powder stashes. Gotta head in the trees for the gold.

Thanks for sharing everyone. I will be heading out to the Denver area for my first snowboard trip off of the east coast in March. I will keep these places in mind and hopefully be able to offer some of my own feedback when I get back.

loveland had a special when i was there. i think it was 20 for the day

A-basin! Not too much farther that Loveland, but better skiing and the "beach". Plus the new high speed quad is awesome!
