good locations for snowshoeing?

Does anyone here snowshoe? I'm new to it and was wondering where are some good and scenic places to go snowshoeing. Obviously, nothing around here as we haven't gotten any snow yet! lol

There are plenty of places not too far away. Try James Peak area, Golden Gate Canyon Park, for starters.

There are some nice easy trails up by Echo Lake out of Idaho Springs. Breckenridge also has a lot of trails for snowshoeing.

i think i may have to head a bit west.. Breckenridge sounds good.. maybe the loveland/keystone area. Still deciding, but I'll decide by tomorrow morning as I'm heading out tomorrow to go snowshoeing

Redstone

I lived in Redstone for a few months. Absolutely gorgeous place to snowshoe. Have fun!

Try Hoosier Pass just south of Breckenridge. I take my dog of there quite regularly on my way to go skiing.

^^yup Jones Pass is cool...snowshoed up there before. Not a bad hike, and plenty of views.

I like Guanella Pass, but go from the 285 side to avoid the I-70 madness.
