Where to shoot?

If you're up for a little drive there is a nice FREE range just outside of Hot Sulfur Springs. just across the train tracks from hwy 40

I second Ben Lomond. Although not free, it does have reasonable membership rates and does have a 600 yard range for rifle

Always found good places on the trails around idaho springs and central city. Better if you have 4wheel drive to go offroad a little, but just got to explore. Keep in mind lots of us dont always just list our great spots because we don't want them flooded with people or worse closed down.

exactly. why left hand is a joke now.

the way i found our spot was just poking around in the national forest. make sure you spend the time to know all of the shooting rules for the national forest. buy a topographic map and spend the "foot work" of finding a place that suits your needs and that isnt close to any private land
