Nursing School

Hey guys!

I'm looking to get into the medical field, and I'm looking for some first hand experience! I'm active duty Marine Corps right now, and am going to go to school when I get out in 2013.

Any LPN/RN's around these parts?

First, get a CNA license from either an adult school or community college (CC), vocational college...
Second, Apply for an LVN program at either college.
Lastly , you may want to consider a Registered Nurse (RN) program at a CC or an offering University
Keep in mind a CNA license is needed prior to any upper-level program. It is mandatory hands on training that will help you reach the top and for liability purposes.
Im CA so it may be different in the west but still closely similar. (:
I wish you success! BTW Thanks for serving!
For additional help refer to a CC counselor.

AverageJose offers some good advice. However, there are a lot of nursing degrees available to you. Most take two years and there are many online and physical programs. I would do more research and consider what kind of nurse you want to be. Many people go the LVN route but, there are other options worth considering that will open up different opportunities to you.
