Pretty Girls Finish Last

Well, when it comes to interviews that is. Stumbled upon this article just now, found it interesting so I thought I'd share

want-to-get-a-job-interview-pay-attention-to-your-looks: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance

Hmmm, interesting. I guess male employers don't want to be accused of hiring a pretty lady because of her looks, and female employers don't want competition. On the flip side, perhaps male employers don't feel threatened by good looking male applicants, and female employers also welcome them. Guess I need to get back on that treadmill.

From the article:

While attaching photos to a resume isn't standard operating procedure in the U.S., it is fairly common in Europe and Israel. That said, don't overlook any Facebook photos you've left open for public consumption, and ahem, any photos that can be easily found with a quick Google search.

This is a good point, not many people think about this kind of stuff.

It amazes what people post on places like facebook.
Inappropriate words, photos, and such that could not only keep you from being hired. But could cost them the job they already have.
I just recently read about a gal getting fired for what she posted on facebook.

A stupid young gal just recently bitched about her job, and her boss on facebook.
Apparently she forgot she had added him to her friends list.
He then fired her for the extremely rude comments, as any boss should have.
Karma can be a real bitch.

On the other hand, if you are an intelligent and experienced job seeker, be prepared to encounter inferior types, who do the hiring. They will exclude you as a threat.
