how long do your clothes last

How long do your clothes last? I am talking about those purchased at mid-priced department stores such as Macy's, not cheap summer T-shirts from a certain discount big box store, or expensive designer clothes.
I am asking about everyday wear, but not your coats or underwear or uniforms.
I have a few items that I don't wear very often and are well-made, and I've had them for two decades! But most of my stuff lasts three to four years. By that time not only is it a little out of style, it is also somewhat faded and stretched out from washing.

I have clothes from over 15 years ago that are still presentable and still fit.

Work clothes last me a few months. It's not that they are shredded from use but stained too badly to look professional.

Most other clothes last me 5 or so years.

I have two particular shirts that are made of hemp cloth. One a button up shirt that I bought in 1975. It still looks like the day I bought it. No tears or rips or broken threads, no fading or stretching, just out of style. The other is a hemp polo shirt that I got in 1999. It still looks like the day I bought it. These hemp cloth shirts are amazing how they wear.

EMS, Eddie Bauer, LL Bean and North Face are common labels in my closet. I have designer wool sweaters from Europe and an Orvis vest or two. These things last forever if you treat them well.

I get my clothes cheap often as factory seconds whose only flaw is an incorrect size label. As I run errands and shop I visit local thrift stores nearby. A 5 minute walk through gets me cheap camping gear, inexpensive top brand clothing and even tools.

I buy microwaves, humidifiers, air cleaners and Victorinox knives for pennies of their real worth. I know which stores have 50% off sales & when. Lose a button, buy a new shirt.

Shirts- Forever

Pants, about six months, but that's more due to things like paint and oil.

Well, the constant high kick contest probably don't help either.

Got one growing myself. The scale read 161 but the mirror read PAUNCH. I have a bad back so crunches & situps cause trouble. I need to figure a way to tone up abs without getting a sore back in trade.
