Diving Spot for Megalodon Teeth?

My wife and I just got SCUBA certified and were wondering if anyone knows of a good place/charter that you can go out and find Megalodon teeth. I've heard rumors that you could do it in Venice, but don't know any details.

Aristocat Scuba Aristocat and Florida West Scuba School Florida Westboth charter to bone yard.

For beach dive, there is a beach access point at the west end of Alhambra Road, Venice Beach. Teeth are found in depths of 14' to 22'. If you find yourself in 25' of water, you are probably 1/4 mile off shore. Bring a compass and use it often, as visibility is usually poor (3-5 feet). Compass will keep you from swimming in circles.

Since you are new to SCUBA, I would suggest the charter. Low vis diving can be challenging and daunting for beginners.

Remember to check water temps. The gulf water is much colder than the east coast during winter months, low 50s sometimes.

At venice beach you can find teeth right off the beach. No need for scuba.
