FT. Worth Question

Is Lake Worth incorporated by the city? I have an opportunity to invest with a friend, and am wondering if it's considered part of the city?

Lake Worth is not incorporated under Ft Worth, it is it's own city.
Lake Worth City Services

"The City of Lake Worth is a Home Rule municipality. The City was incorporated on February 19, 1949 and first adopted its Home Rule Charter in 1965. The Home Rule Charter was amended in 1968, 2003, and again in 2008. "

Another interesting fact about Lake Worth is that the city, technically, owns all of the land around the lake. Residents rent the land from the city in order to build their homes.

Consider that your fun fact for the day!

I think they changed that a few years ago and sold(or gave them the option of buying) the people who had been renting their homes. Caused an uproar because some of the renters wouldnt qualify or be able to get a mortgage on the property they had lived on for years.

Yep, Lake Worth is its own city and has a great lake, wonderful for sailing if you're into that kind of thing.
