Six Flags

I went while visiting the area many years ago. What have they added in the past 5 years, is it still worth going?

Isn't there one in San Antonio also?

I haven't been in about a year, but in the last five they've added a couple of decent rides. The two most recent that I am aware of are the Batman and Superman rides. Batman is one of those foot-dangling roller coasters, and it's definitely a park favorite now. Superman is the latest edition, if I recall correctly, and it's a "free-fall" ride with quick acceleration and plenty of drops. I can't remember if the Titan is older than 5 years or not, but it's long and smooth high speed mega-coaster. It's pretty awesome. I think I actually remember them having to slow down part of the ride because of blackouts

The Six Flags in San Antonio is called Fiesta Texas. I went there quite a few years ago, and remember thinking it wasn't nearly as exciting as the park in Arlington.

The good news is that Six Flags is a lot cheaper now due to them nearly going Bankrupt. I guess they decided to lower the prices a bit to attract more customers.

The Batman ride is great, just make sure you aren't motion sick like that kid was behind me...

When do they open the park back up as Six Flags? I know before Christmas it's called Winter in the Park...

At least he was behind you. If you buy season tickets at Winter in the Park they are good for the whole next year as well.

They open March 5th for weekends only (except spring break) and then open daily May 18th.

The Six Flags in San Antonio (Fiesta Texas) is a lot of fun. Great rides and if you go on a weekday in the off season, pretty small lines.
