I chase the rural because the poll was lacking the "Sub-urban" (half city, half rural) category.

Now, the spouse likes to live in an area where a Super Wally World is easy to get to.

I have lived in both city and country, I prefer the country for the fact that there is less traffic and less people trying to run you of the road. I like the fact the when you go outside at night you can see the stars.

Too much trash in the city, some of it even gets up and walks around.

i have also lived in both places, but i prefer living in a rural area. how ever i would wont to live close to i city with in a 45 min driving dis. that way you not cut off from civilization but you still have the luxury of living in the country having all the land and stuff but being able to go and do stuff the country doesn't offer.

I work in NYC and if I wasn't a poor college student I would absolutely love to be there 24/7. I am quite surprised to see such an overwhelming majority being fans of rural.

I'll visit or even work in the metro area, but live there. No thank you.

I like living in a small community that is surrounded by rural area. It is also nice that I can be in the big city in under an hour!

Country, hands down..... I live in a city now and hate it...

I plan to move somewhere that i can't see any neighbors. Hopefully sooner than later...

I'd vote for a rural setting about a 15 minute drive out from the city. Right now I'm living in a rural city about 45 minutes away from a good sized city. The peace and quite is real nice, and folks are pretty friendly, but it's nice to up and drive to the movie theater on a whim and not have to spend an hour and a half in the car...
