rain, rain, go away

I know that the heat wave in the American Southwest has been covered in the news a lot, but I haven't seen as much commentary about the low pressure system that has been stalled over the American Midwest and Northeast for at least three weeks. How much rain have you gotten where you are?
Fourth of July was a bust in Cincinnati. It's been raining an inch or more a day since Sunday, and we've barely seen the sun all week.

I wish I could have sent some of that moisture to you! We were having flash floods and ruined Fourth of July weekends and people getting depressed because the rain just would not stop.
It finally let up on Monday, July 8, after the long weekend was over and people went back to work. Of course.....
