Bluegrass in South Georgia?

I am a transplanted banjo player. I came from the Baltimore/N. Virginia area where there was a lot of bluegrass activity. I would love to find some acoustic pickers in the Valdosta area to play some bluegrass and possibly get a group together for all these cool little festivals all the little towns put on around here.
