Dougs Place in Emerson

Has anyone ever eaten here? I am from Emerson, born and raised. I grew up eating here. Hands down the the best country cookin I have ever had.

Doug the owner passed away a few years ago but the resturant is still in full swing. Emerson is a tiny town, not even single Stop light in the city limits, but every night for dinner Doug's Place is packed.

If you are ever in the area stop by and check it out!

Its right off HWY 293 beside the police station. If you are coming from HWY 41 turn left if your going north of right if you are going south on to Gaston Westbrook Rd, Stay straight and once you go over the train tracks you'll see it.

13mx what is your favorite meal from Dougs Place? I drive down to Atlanta from Dalton several several times a month to the gunshows. I may swing buy and check them out. Good food is kind of like guns, it's a must have thing.

The Fried Chicken with green beans, mashed potatoes, and Mac n' Cheese, and I tall glass of sweet tea. Oh yeah and their Sweet Tea is out of this world.

Breakfast is great too. I remember when I was a little kid and they first opened, Mrs. Adaline made all the biscuits at her house and someone would pick them up. Those were some good biscuits! But that was about 15 years ago
