High Museum of Art

Anyone ever been or does anyone have an appreciation for art? I went for an out-of-class assignment for Expressions of Culture(we have to do three of these). I had a blast.

This was my favoritve painting there:

You're welcome.

The outside of the building was pretty cool; it was designed by an architect named Richard Meier who apparently has done alot of cool buildings with history mixed into them.

I've been there quite a few times, my girlfriend is trying to git me cultured!

I took my Father there last June to see the Antique car exhibit. They had some really cool cars, I just wish they had more than the 15 cars or so. I still bet the total value of those cars approched a gazillion dollars.

We went a few months back on "National Museum Day" (it was free). I enjoyed it for the most part. We say the Dali exhibit which was fun.

I read this on AJC.com today:
Quote:
On Feb. 26 students have the opportunity to visit the High Museum’s permanent collection as well as its special exhibitions, “Henri Cartier-Bresson” and “Toulouse-Lautrec & Friends,” from 8 p.m. to midnight for only $7. Performances will include drawing and sound, break dance, multi-media, experimental jazz music and electronica. 1280 Peachtree St., Atlanta. 404-733-5000.
So that is a good price if you are student.

Perfect time of the year too. The bulbs are about to bloom. Hopefully there is not a hard freeze and kill them before they are up. Early spring can be dangerous that way.
