I was active duty Air Force from December 1994 to March 2001. I was a 2A353A F-15 crew chief. I worked mainly in repair and reclamation/crash recovery. I was based at R.A.F. Lakenheath U.k. for 3 years as well as good old Incerlik Air Base for Operation Northern Watch. I also spent a few weeks in Morocco, Africa for a brief TDY. After the 3 years over seas I came back stateside to Mt Home Air Force Base until I got out.
Just a pic of a launch when I was a line crew chief.

1N354G - Korean Linguist, from 1999 to 2005. I spent a little over 2 years in training, the rest at the National Security Agency. Can't talk about the job itself, of course, but I will say that my work environment more resembled Office Space than Enemy of the State, Mercury Rising, etc.
Hi Guys. I was a C-130 Hercules in-shop engine/prop mechanic stationed at Dyess from '94-'98. Got out as an E-4. Miss seeing those big beautiful 30+ foot long B-1 Bomber afterburners streaks at night. Good times. Wish I was back in sometimes. ...But life goes on.
Guess I'm a little older than you folks...........served '51-'53 in USAF then "55-'60 in the West Virginia Air National Guard in Charleston. My AFSC was Supply, but I still enjoyed being there..........one year at Scott AF Base, Belleville, IL and then the rest in St. John's, Newfoundland (Torbay Airport issuing aircraft parts to mechanics there). Like some of you, I reflect back and think I would have liked to have spent a career there. My best friend did. I got out after the Korean War and attended college at West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, WV.
Hello, I joined the Air Force Reserves January of 2010 and am loving it. I initiallly started out as EOD but due to family emergency I had to stpo training and will return later. Currently I am in hydraulics for C-17s in Charleston, South Carolina.
I joined the Air Force, in 1977. After BASIC, at Lackland. I went to Keesler for Tech School (Aerospace Control and Warning Systems Operator - (Scope Dope)
I spent 2 years, at Malmstrom AFB, in Montana, and then just a little over 2 years, at Woomera, in Australia.
I would have re-enlisted, but my first wife talked me out of it. Some days, I wish that I had re-upped. I truly enjoyed serving in the Air Force!
