Lightning, believe it or not, are quite rare over Hawaii. Not like California, and Florida. Here is a video I shot and edited of a storm that went over us on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
Wow! When I worked out there in 1998/99 I had a 20 something co-worker that was a life long resident whom had never seen lighting or heard thunder. I guess he can no longer make that statement.
