EdenPure Heaters

I just received another EdenPure brochure in the mail. It is portrayed as a quartz infrared heater, however since the quartz infrared bulb is contained within a box to heat a copper plate a better portrayal would be to call it a fan forced convection heater. The brochure also says that imitators with cheap ceramic plates reduce humidity or oxygen in your home. To reduce oxygen one has to have open flame which none of the imitators do. All heaters reduce relative humidity as the room temperature is raised for a given specific humidity. As for saving money any portable electric heater is 100% efficient that is every watt in yields an equivalent amount of heat (expressed in BTUs). The only opportunity for saving is if one lowers the house thermostat and heats a smaller space with the portable heater.
