HiHood cracked me up with the air conditioned shed
It was either that or become an armadillo.
I painted cars with a High School shop teacher and one summer he needed a shed so we built one. I'd worked construction but had no experience building small things.
I loved building that shed. He scratched out his plans in 5 minutes, we went for the lumber and by the end of the day a fair sized rock solid gambreled roof shed appeared.
Projects like this for the non shop teacher just need to be thought through completely before starting. Keep everything square and use rust resistant screws.
It's a fun project and cheap if you dig through a couple construction dumpsters. We had a feisty preying mantis move in before the roof was on so it stayed bug free.

Blucher, those are some great sheds. I'd like to see how the round one is built because it looks like it would be a fun project!
I'd Google "plans online" or something close. They sell plans pretty reasonably. Something like the round shed might be done using fiberglass. Somewhere online I saw a recipe for making big pots using some concrete but also lighter material I can't recall. My idea would be to cover a wet rounded mound of sand with an old cloth tarp or painter's dropcloth and build fiberglass on that. Best to have your sand mound on plywood I'd think.

Wow, just wow! I don't know. It seems to me it would be easier to begin with a blow up (large) baloon, strengthen it with rebar, and apply a light mix shotcrete. Once the concrete sets, pop the baloon and begin your interior and exterior walls. Maybe that is why I am not a structural engineer?

Sounds like a fine idea to me. You have the link so see if you can get anymore information using it as a base for search terms. I'd like to know what the white stuff is, if panels of a good insulator can be bent over time without harm and how to get a hollow space between roof & interior walls.
It should (if well anchored) withstand high winds, be waterproof and looks easy to cool. Can desert rats use swamp coolers?
If you have time and granddaughters..............
cute little playhouse and/or storage shed.

But then again, that has nothing to do with locking up your daughters toys.
Decide what you need size wise, make a plan, buy some lumber, and build it.
It would be nice to be able to retreat into it, but not necessary, I have an office for that.
A buddy of mine has a shed that he conversted into a bar & grill establishment for when his friends come over. It's loaded with memorabilia, but until he installs a wood burning stove, it's only a three season establishment.
