Outrageous Luxury

Outrageous Luxury - Part 50

Mid-Century Naval Binoculars

Mid-Century Naval Binoculars | OUTRAGEOUS LUXURY

Mid-Century Naval Binoculars. Brilliantly polished to showroom-like condition, each of these best-in-class pieces is sure to catch the eye of any passerby, their sleek, sublime condition betraying their war-time roots, and comes mounted on a fully adjustable tripod, just in case you actually want to — gasp! — use them.

f you’re flying over the sprawling Malibu desert, be prepared to do a double take: you might chance upon a Boeing 747 perched atop a hill that’s been transformed into a home. David Hertz Architects designed the unique desert dwelling using different parts of a dismantled Boeing 747 aircraft

The final Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has been sold to a customer in Europe, says the supercar manufacturer. However the W16, quad-turbocharged monster will continue to soldier on in open-top Grand Sport trim, but don’t expect the Bug to churn out any more hardtop models. All 300 of them have officially been spoken for; leaving the world’s stupidly wealthy with nowhere to spend their millions. But I am sure they will come up with something.
As you may recall, the Veyron first landed in 2003, and it’s been busy shattering records and swilling high-test gasoline ever since. Eight years later, the creation remains one of the most awe-inspiring vehicles on the planet, and odds are it won’t stop arching eyebrows and dropping jaws anytime soon. Something tells us that 987 horsepower will do that for you.

$1 million for a 4000+ sq ft house in the mountains? To me, that's a lot of house for the money; we're still paying $1M for 3br homes in nice neighborhoods here...

I believe the 3.42 acres included with the property is the reason for the higher price.

The big property makes it even worse! Here are all the $1M listings near me, and a lot of those are modest homes on way less than an acre.

Every friend I have who has bought in the last 5 years has spent over $1M, just to get into a nice neighborhood with a good school

We don't so much consider this luxury but more escape from the daily grind.
